Naada Yoga in Montreal:
A Unique Experience to Deepen Your Practice

Naada Yoga is a renowned studio in Montreal, known for the quality of its teaching and the attention given to the overall well-being of its practitioners. If you’re looking for a place where yoga practice — and especially body awareness — is taken seriously, and where the guidance truly meets your expectations, this space might just become your favorite spot.

However, Naada Yoga is not a typical studio where you simply attend a group class and socialize. Here, the experience is more introspective, with a teaching approach focused on understanding the body and the benefits of yoga on the nervous system. Discover why Naada Yoga stands out among other studios in the city.

High-Quality Teaching

Experienced and Passionate Teachers

I was surprised by one of Naada Yoga’s greatest strengths: the skill and expertise of its teachers. Unlike other studios where the teaching can sometimes feel superficial, here the instructors are not only experienced but also deeply knowledgeable about how the human body works.

Each class is an immersion in the science of movement, with a special focus on biomechanics, adjustments, and alignment. You will undoubtedly feel the difference in the teaching approach.

Exploration and Approach

Naada Yoga operates with a level system (1, 2, 3…) for the classes, but the experience can vary significantly depending on the instructor. My only downside is that you have to try several classes and teachers to get to know their style and find what suits you best.

Infrared Sauna: A Real Bonus

Huge space spread over two floors, it’s spacious at Naada Yoga!
Unlike some studios that can be small and overcrowded, here, you can breathe. The atmosphere is minimalist and clean, ideal for concentration and relaxation. The practice rooms are very spacious and well-ventilated.

One of the elements that makes the experience truly enjoyable at Naada Yoga is its infrared sauna. It emits a gentle, soothing heat that’s not too intense. It’s a perfect space to calm the nervous system and enjoy a moment of relaxation. I even take the opportunity to read a book there, so you can stay for quite a while. Perfect for the cold and damp days in Montreal!

The Tea Lounge: A Unique and Innovative Concept

The presence of a tea lounge, where yogis can gather after classes, is a lovely way to make meaningful connections. This initiative extends the experience by providing a welcoming space to interact with the teachers and ask questions.

After each session, the teachers invite the students to come share a tea, a precious opportunity to deepen one’s understanding of yoga, discuss adjustments, or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation. I often arrive too early before classes, so I take advantage of the space to pull out my laptop and finish my tasks for the day.

All in all, after a month of practicing at Naada Yoga, I found the space peaceful, but a bit cold.
